Kind of generic.

This song sounds pretty good altogether but it seems like stuff I've heard before. Especially that harshly overused "guitar" sound at around 0:26. Also, I know this is typical of trance but the drum / bass pattern is essentially the same for the whole song. All in all this nothing too new or interesting. But I gotta give you credit, it got my foot tapping to the beat.

DJ-Babokon responds:

Okay cool. Thanks.

Excellent.

I can't think of how this could be improved. It is close to perfection, but a mortal like me is not worthy of picking out any flaws in this. (Probably some small, stupid flaw too, like in mixing or equalization. But what would I know?)

dj-Nate responds:

Haha thanks for the review

Beautiful

I can imagine this being the music playing while person A just got mortally wounded with an arrow during an epic war, and person B is enraged and tries to run toward person A, while person C is restraining person B, with the "it's no use" facial expression. All this is happening in slow motion, by the way, and there is no audio other than this song.

wyldfyre1 responds:

very interesting image you got from this song. Awesome haha thanks for the review.

Meh.

It's got some problems, including the fact that it is repetetive, as well as the somewhat poor equalization. The synth sound could be better And to top it all off, it's really generic.

All in all it sounds okay but it's nothing I would listen to.

shiningstar16 responds:

Thanks for the input! To be honest I have no idea how to do equalization therefore i'm left with this flucuating sound which is quite annoying. It's based on a simple pattern so I'd be amazed if anyone didn't consider it repetitive. If you have any tips on how to make a sound song better I'd be happy to hear them :)

This is pretty sick.

Except for the part around 1:00 or so that lasts for like 30 seconds. It seems as though the same notes are played over and over. However, the rest of the song is epic, but I also wish the drums had a little more variation. I like it.

Also dude, did you actually record this or did you use a VST? If you used VSTs I would absolutely love to know which ones you used.

Evil-Dog responds:

yeah I'm a bit of a pattern composer where I repeat my riffs, sometimes for too long.
I do record my stuff, guitars and bass, drums made on the computer with my usual samples for each hits

Here we go again...

Come on, people, we're still in the "Let's do a remix of Gerudo Valley!" era? Lol. There are countless remixes of this song. Plus, this wasn't equalized properly. I definitely think this needs a lot of improvement in that area. Maybe improve the synth a little more. It gets a bit horrendous at around 1:55.

Rhyhart responds:

So just because there are several remixs of Gerudo Valley makes this a bad one?Besides that I never knew there was a "era" for this song. The Legend of Zelda has many great songs which I love so I thought why not do a remix of one. I also didn't think it would offend anyone but I guess everyone has different views.

Some expert critique.

Your remixes sound good, and they have a really nice sound. However, they all sound relatively the same, especially since you WAY overuse that fast snare build (like the one at around 0:10 to 0:12 or so). It seems like you are too unoriginal with the drums. The constant bass drum is too cliché, as is the snare build. Do something original with your remixes. That's what it's all about. I'm giving you a 6 because I know you can do better than this. This should be some inspiration.

EliteFerrex responds:

I understand what you mean about the snare roll, and have honestly been trying to weed it out of some of my songs, but there is one thing you should know: The reason my songs sound so similar is because... that's how I want them to sound. To be honest, with the exception of requests, almost all of my remixes are made for personal enjoyment. I know most of them sound similar, but this is also true for many famous artists of multiple genres. Anyway, I appreciate your critique, but I would certainly hope that at least the effort I put into my songs earns more than a 6.

Lol. This song makes me tingle.

Well put together. I like it a lot.

hjcrbass responds:

Thanks Duffany1!!!

I thought it sounded bland.

Sounded boring to me. Lack of awesomeness. Didn't catch my ear.

Nayhan responds:

yea it is a bit bland but you haven't helped at all by telling me that. why does it sound bland? what would make it less boring or more awesome?

Holy wow this is cool

mr-jazzman responds:
