[Reactance]

Mediocre at best

The animation is simplistic but I guess it's pretty crisp... But there's no sound other than the music (which isn't too bad, I guess) and also there's not really any upgrades -- any incentive to keep me wanting to play more. I stopped after level 2.

Yay, I'm so happy, I got all this great progress --- oh wait... I can't save...
But yeah I played this for at least 3 hours. Very entertaining.

Yeah, the music is slightly annoying, and the sounds are extremely simplistic. The controls are also very flawed.

I appreciate the amount of work you put into it though.

Thanks for the review Duffany1. What about the controls did you find flawed? Is it the button choice or the actual control of the character?

I also plan on updating or creating a new more fleshed out game based on the same idea. So any criticism is fine by me. :)

This is Awesome

Excellent art and animation, interesting and unique concept. My only complaint is that it gets somewhat boring since the gameplay is a bit slow at times. 4/5, 8/10

Not terrible

Physics are nice; spelling is bad in some areas; music does not fit at all; upgrade system is decent; bullets move a little too slow. This game is kind of all over the place in terms of quality. But all in all it's cool.

You need to do something different.

Currently it's just not fun, although it is better than the last build. All you're really doing is clicking a button, then waiting to get enough money. The only good thing about the game is the psychology behind people wanting to have money, so they keep playing the game. But even so, that's no good premise for entertainment. You need to have something better. Something... different.

In response to your response to BillyDanger, the physics actually are completely broken. If you're going 14 times faster than the speed of light then how come you're moving past the tanks at like one mile per hour? If you really were going that fast then you wouldn't even be able to see the tanks. As a matter of fact, you wouldn't even be able to see the tanks if you were going at the speed of sound (which is far more reasonable than 14 times the speed of light).

Also, wtf? Dubstep music does not fit the game at all.

And another thing, the bullets move incredibly slow, and you can barely turn. And when you hit the top of the screen you completely level out. It makes no sense.

The only thing I really liked was the parallax background and the fact that the sprites weren't outrageously pixelated.

And what the heck? "When the chips are down and the natives are restless"? What does that even mean?

Whatever though, it's your first game. And it's not great, but it's also not garbage.

Kind of annoying...

The attack sound is really repetitive and annoying... All in all the graphics and music are decent...the text's readability made me not want to read the instructions... all in all this game was a decent idea but the execution was awful.

Smooth. But that's it.

The game is boring, the jumping isn't all that great, the music isn't too great, no instructions... Overall you could improve this by a lot.

The typography practices in this game are poor - Comic Sans, Courier New, uh...

All in all though this game is addicting. I like it.
